These four videos run a little over 30 minutes - almost a set. They show me playing a number of instruments, telling stories and covering a lot of musical ground. I play country, folk and rock 'n' roll, predominantly my own material with some familiar old songs included for fun. Here are a few links that, in this sequence, are a fair representation of what a set might be like: How
I came to play mandolin CRIPPLE CREEK/COTTON-EYED JOE: Helen
Rose/Amazing Emily Grace (my debut at historic Caffe Lena): "Pretty"
with intro (house concert in San Marcos, TX): Hard
Kisser - story - One Foot in the Grave (also from a house concert): My preferred format is two 45-minute sets. If you enjoy this sequence, you will love my show as it will embrace the energy of your audience and be unique to our evening together. |

Nothing compares to a Greg Klyma house concert... "Greg played for the first (but not the last) time at our series during the worst of this year's bad winter. It made for a small crowd but Greg played like it was a full house and those who were here loved it. What a truly great concert!" -- Tom Noe, Wylie, TX (http://www.wylieconcerts.com), February 2011 "Thank you SO much for doing the house concert. It was a truly wonderful night for me, and it meant so much that you were able to do it! You are an extremely talented musician, an awesome story teller, and an all around super cool person." Anne-Marie, Jamaica Plain, MA, April 2011 |
